WHAT TO SEND US
As a short story publisher we only accept proposals for short fiction and short stories when presented as a collection from UK based writers. Please do not send us single short stories. We are particularly keen on publishing diverse voices and actively encourage submissions from first-time writers.
Send us a cover letter, an outline and the first three stories from your completed manuscript or the first 10,000 words, whichever is longer.
Send your submission as a Word document, Times New Roman in 12pt, double spaced via email to submissions@dahliapublishing.co.uk
Please ensure you:
- Send us your cover letter in the body of an email
- Address your email personally to Farhana Shaikh
- Tell us about your manuscript and why you write
If we are interested in working with you, expect to hear from us within 12 weeks. Please note, we do not read any submissions over the summer or Christmas holidays and we do not offer feedback on submissions.
